Meet the team
There is a wealth of experience within the Wellden Turnbull team. Whether you need advice on a tax problem, making a business acquisition, carrying out a statutory audit, completing your VAT return or writing a will, we have the right expert to advise you. Our friendly and experienced advisors can help you succeed in a competitive world.
Establishing a strong, personal and direct relationship with both our private and business clients is important to us.

Our team is readily accessible, so you save time by being able to speak with our partners and managers quickly and easily with any questions or concerns that you might have.
Here at Wellden Turnbull, we have around 50 staff across our departments, from experienced, qualified senior managers to our ICAEW trainees. Below are some of the team members you may come into contact with:
Our Directors
Chris Plumridge
BSc, ACA, CTA
Background and experience
Chris joined the Wellden Turnbull tax department in 2011 and has since qualified as a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor.
Along with managing a broad portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, Chris regularly assists with tax planning matters, specialising in business valuations and corporate restructuring.
Chris also manages and guides our current trainees through their studies.
Chris said “I enjoy learning about a client’s business environment when providing valuations as it is a great way to not just put a number on the business but identify market opportunities and ways that the business can grow.”
Away from the office
Chris is a keen musician and regularly plays in a rock/blues cover band, playing functions around Surrey.
A big football fan, Chris can often be seen on the terraces of Selhurst Park.

Simon Odam

Background and experience
Simon is a director at Wellden Turnbull and specialises in all areas of tax. Simon qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant in 2004 and Chartered Tax Advisor in 2006. He became a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2014.

Emma Green

Background and experience
Emma has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton and was top 10 in the school of management. She joined Wellden Turnbull in 2014 as a Senior from another local firm. She has since assumed the role of managing one of our audit and accounting teams and in April 2019 was promoted to director.
Emma has experience with a varied range of clients, across a number of different industries and sizes.
Emma enjoys helping clients improve the efficiency of their accounting function, including moving over to cloud-based software, such as Xero.
Away from the office
Emma has a keen interest in Art, including visiting galleries and painting.

Robin John
FCA, CTA
Background and experience
Robin is a director at Wellden Turnbull and specialises in all areas of tax. During Robin’s career he has worked for both large and small firms. Robin qualified as an ACA and CTA in 1978 and five years later became an FCA. Although he specialises in tax, he is also an RI, authorised to sign audit reports and is the senior statutory auditor for a number of the firms audit clients.

Mark Nelligan

Background and experience
After graduating from the University of Leeds with an honours degree in Economics, Mark spent 12 years working for KPMG’s Banking Audit practice. He was responsible for leading and executing statutory audits and providing assurance and accounting advisory services for a range of UK and international banking entities including investment, retail and wholesale banks; broker dealers and investment funds.
Mark has strong technical accounting skills with expertise in the application of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP financial reporting standards, as well as the requirements of international and UK auditing standards, The Companies Act and the CASS regulatory regime.
Mark specialises in the provision of audit, financial accounting and general business advice to a range of clients. He is focused on helping clients improve the efficiency of their business and identifying areas of improvement and efficiencies.

Tom Clark

Background and experience
Tom graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in History and is an ACA qualified director in the Audit & Accounts department.
Tom is responsible for managing audit engagements in the real estate, infrastructure, debt financing and renewable energy sectors with clients comprising large groups, investment funds, investment and asset managers and FCA regulated entities.
Tom manages limited assurance engagements for FCA regulated firms including CASS audits and interim profit reviews. He also works with clients to prepare their statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS, including clients incorporated in Jersey and Guernsey.
Tom enjoys working with clients to develop processes and controls suitable for the sectors they operate in which improve efficiency and are ‘best- practice’.

Robin Brown
BA, FCA

Background and experience
Robin has nearly 40 years’ experience as an Accountant and joins Wellden Turnbull from a local practice where he was a partner.
Robin’s particular expertise is in private client work, where he has been involved in assisting individuals including several family groups and companies with all aspects of their taxation affairs and financial planning.
Away from the office
Robin is president of his local sports club and enjoys cricket, rugby and golf. He has also been lucky to own several racehorses in the past 15 years which have produced nearly 30 winners.

Sarah Kent

Sarah has an honours degree and a post graduate diploma in marketing.
After six years working in the shipping industry, Sarah joined a local firm of chartered accountants which focused on private client work and high net worth individuals.
Sarah brings to Wellden Turnbull over 25 years of experience during which time she has specialised in trust administration with an emphasis on assisting wealthy individuals with tax planning. She enjoys being able to provide a personal level of support to clients to find the right solutions for their particular circumstances and working with family groups.
Sarah has been described by clients as “welcoming” and “helpful and efficient” and she would be pleased hear from you with your enquiry.

Calum Bruce

Calum joined Wellden Turnbull’s tax department in 2016 and has since qualified as a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor.
Calum enjoys assisting clients on both personal and corporate taxation matters and he takes particular interest in managing the tax compliance of larger groups.

Charles Bennett

Charles joined Wellden Turnbull in 2018 with a first class degree in Oceanography from the University of Southampton.
Since joining Charles has qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.
Charles has experience in a wide range of areas in tax compliance and planning matters. He enjoys helping clients understand their affairs and providing a first-rate service.

Neeraj Sonoo

Neeraj joined Wellden Turnbull’s tax department in July 2024. He is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
Neeraj qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2022. He also holds an honours degree in Accounting and Finance. Following university, Neeraj trained with a boutique UK firm in London, working in tax compliance, tax advisory and preparing accounts for non-audit clients. He has experience in a wide range of sectors.
Neeraj is also involved with training and supporting the development of trainees at Wellden Turnbull.

Andrew Brown

Jeremy Smith

Jeremy trained with a Central London practice before joining Wellden Turnbull in 2003.
He has worked with an extensive range of clients, including not-for-profit organisations such as charities and trust.
Jeremy likes to fully understand his client’s needs in order to provide them with the best possible solutions to the problems which they may face.

Geetha Ranganathan

Background and experience
Geetha is a Chartered Accountant, Licensed Company Secretary, Diploma holder in IFRS from the ACCA and a Commerce Graduate. During the 12 years of her auditing career, she has worked for PwC, EY, Deloitte India/Australia and is currently a Senior Audit Manager at Wellden Turnbull in the Audit & Accounts Department.
Geetha specialises in the delivery of high-quality audits of listed, unlisted, public interest entities, group reporting under FRS, IFRS, US GAAP, Indian GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and has dealt with SOX compliances. She has expertise in the energy, information technology, financial sector and consumer markets involved in automobiles, pharmaceuticals, retail, construction equipment, chemicals, food confectionary, and other manufacturing business.
Geetha is focused on value creation for her client’s business by improving their process and controls and establishing better client relationships.
Geetha has published a self-help title, Be Your Own Torchlight, which won several accolades and contributed to 4 other books.

Bobbi-Jo Gibbbins

Bobbi joined Wellden Turnbull after graduating from Kingston University with a BSc degree in Accounting & Finance. She completed her ACA qualification with the firm and is now a senior audit manager in the Accounts & Audit department.
Bobbi has clients in the audit, accounting and advisory space covering the full spectrum of micro companies to large, consolidated groups.
She primarily looks after corporate clients in a wide range of sectors and has experience of residential and commercial property management, educational institutions, software development, waste management and consultancy services. The variety of her portfolio exposes her to complex accounting transactions under UK GAAP and IFRS.
Bobbi is involved with the recruitment of trainees and is passionate about supporting their development during their time at Wellden Turnbull.

Joseph Fernandez

Background and experience
Joe joined Wellden Turnbull in 2020 having graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance. Since joining Joe has qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant and is an audit manager in the Audit & Accounts department.
Joe is responsible for managing audit engagement with clients who operate in the construction industry, tech industry and performing Solicitors Regulations Authority audits for law practices. Joe is also responsible for performing audits in the real estate and renewable energy sector with clients comprising large groups, investment funds and FCA regulated entities. He also works alongside clients to prepare their statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS, including clients incorporated in Jersey and Guernsey.
Joe enjoys working with clients to help improve their controls and procedures to promote and improve efficiency. Additionally, Joe is passionate about helping trainees develop in both their roles at Wellden Turnbull and their progression whilst sitting their ACA exams.

Niall Anderson-Soutar

Background and experience
After graduating in 2019 with a First in Accounting & Management from the University of Kent, Niall has since qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant. In this time, he also spent 2 years at a Top 25 firm in Surrey and is currently an Audit Manager at Wellden Turnbull.
Niall has worked with audit clients in a wide range of sectors and industries, including PFI operations, technology companies, recruitment consultants, and hospitality and leisure entities, such as restaurant chains and golf clubs. These clients comprise standalone entities up to large groups, following UK GAAP and IFRS, providing him with valuable experience in auditing complex areas of these standards.
Niall enjoys working with clients to ensure audits run efficiently and smoothly, whilst identifying opportunities to add value through the audit process.
Away from the office Niall enjoys watching and playing various sports, particularly cycling and running, with ambitions of one day completing an Ironman triathlon.

Hashim Sohail

Hashim qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2014. Having gained experience in various firms, mainly in audit, he joined Wellden Turnbull as an Assistant Accounts and Audit manager in 2021.
Hashim works with a range of clients within varied industries including media, professional services and Property Sectors. He helps clients with compliance requirements and also focuses on building a strong support system, aiding clients wherever he can, so they can concentrate on their business.
Hashim cares about his client’s goal. His focus is to maintain transparent communications with all his clients and be available to them and their business whenever they need him.

Selvini Sothinathan

Selvini graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Business from Aston University. She joined Wellden Turnbull’s audit and accounts department in 2020. Since then, she has completed her ACA qualification and is now an audit assistant manager at the firm.
Selvini is responsible for managing audit engagements for small to medium sized firms operating in a variety of different sectors. This experience has enabled her to gain a deep understanding of the financial reporting requirements of UK GAAP and IFRS.
Selvini enjoys engaging with clients and supporting the junior members of the audit team.

Roohit Lal

Background and experience
Roohit graduated from the University of Surrey with a degree in Accounting and Finance. Having completed his ACA examinations, he now holds the role of audit and assurance assistant manager.
Specialising in the financial services sector, Roohit collaborates with a diverse range of clients, including large groups, investment funds and asset managers. This exposure gives him a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting requirements of entities reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.
Roohit is responsible for managing the full audit lifecycle of his engagements, from planning through to completion. He particularly enjoys working alongside his clients to navigate and resolve complex transactions.

Anna Gumulak

Anna joined Wellden Turnbull in 2023. She is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant, Certified Bookkeeper and holds a master’s degree in Economics.
She is part of our Accounts and Audit department where she works with a portfolio of non-audit clients, preparing their statutory financial statements under UK GAAP.
Anna’s experience comes from mix of practice and industry positions, where she has had an opportunity to work with SME businesses from range of industries.
She enjoys helping clients with meeting their statutory reporting obligations.

Todd Styles

Background and experience
Todd joined Wellden Turnbull in 2022 from another firm in Surrey, at which he began his career in 2017. He is currently studying the AAT with plans to complete his ACCA with Wellden Turnbull. Todd is one of our non-audit portfolio managers in the Accounts & Audit department.
Todd manages a wide variety of SME’s and assists in meeting all statutory accounting submissions, as well as management accounting and VAT submissions.
He primarily looks after corporate clients in a wide range of sectors including investment portfolio companies, property development, creative industries and consultancy services. The variety of his portfolio exposes him to complex accounting transactions under UK GAAP.
Todd enjoys helping clients improve the efficiency of their accounting function, including maintaining own accounting records via cloud-based software such as Xero, as well as offering training sessions to his clients.

Mike Mason

Mike qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2019 and is currently studying towards being qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined Wellden Turnbull in 2023 after 8 years of working in smaller practices in the local area as an assignee and a manager dealing with all business matters.
Mike uses his knowledge and experience to help clients’ with their statutory non-audit accounts filings and other business matters, including advising on Xero as our resident expert!

Emma Reynolds

Background and experience
Emma joined Wellden Turnbull as an Assistant Accounts Manager in the non-audit team 2023, and is in the final stages of completing her ACCA qualification.
Emma has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham, a Masters of Research, and a Doctorate in Neurological Disorders. After hanging up her lab coat, Emma started training with a top 10 UK firm in Guildford, working in audit and preparing accounts for non-audit clients, with experience in a wide range of sectors, but specialising in Charities.
Currently, Emma manages a portfolio of clients ranging from small owner managed businesses through to large companies and consolidated groups, and enjoys working with clients to solve financial reporting issues affecting their business.
Away from the office
Emma enjoys getting outdoors, whether it’s cycling, running, rowing, or just a muddy walk in the countryside with family and friends.

Graeme Witt

Graeme manages Wellden Turnbull’s Payroll department, with the support of Anila Vadgama.
He has over 20 years of client payroll experience covering all aspects of payroll from one person employers to multi-national employers.
Graeme has proven experience in payroll gained working for top 100 accountancy firms.
Graeme keeps up to date with all relevant legislative changes and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals with a Degree in Payroll Management.

Teresa Stansbury

Background and experience
Teresa joined Wellden Turnbull as company secretary in 2016 having previously worked in a similar role for 10 years at a regional law firm.
Teresa works with limited companies helping them comply with Companies House requirements. She helps clients keep up to date with filing requirements and changes in company law. Teresa can also save you time by dealing with your routine filings.
Teresa liaises with her colleagues in the accounts and tax teams in assisting with updates and changes to your company structure and shares.
